Wonderful, older-style home with lots of original charming features including horizontal beadboard walls in several rooms, vintage doors, windows and a great sunroom/sleeping porch. Used in a past life as a duplex, there remains a partial kitchen upstairs with a separate electrical service. The sellers converted it back to a spacious 2,188± sq. foot single family home with recent updates including a new metal roof and furnace.
The first floor consists of a bright and sunny nice-sized kitchen with yellow beadboard walls situated just off the centrally located dining room. From one end of the dining room you can enter the roomy living room with an adorable box bay window! Also located off the dining room is a smaller den area which leads out to the sunroom/sleeping porch area. This area is surrounded by original windows which let in lots of light and looks out over the lovely yard beyond. What a wonderful place to enjoy meals, read a book or spend the night! Also on the first floor is a full bath, mudroom/storage room and an office/study.
As you reach the second floor, you’ll see the partial kitchen ahead consisting of several cabinets and a very deep double cast iron sink. There are also a few chairs so that space can be enjoyed as a sitting area too. The master bedroom is located to the right of the stairs and is extremely large with 2 closets and the same box bay window as below in the living room. Across the hall is a spacious guest bedroom. On the other side of the kitchen, you’ll find a good-sized bathroom with a clawfoot tub. Down the hall from the bathroom is another extremely large bedroom with a door leading out to a small porch.
There is a huge barn, great for storage and lawn equipment, located on the large 1.4 acre lot. Towards the back of the yard is an orchard with fruit trees and lots of space to enjoy outdoor living. There is also a wrap-around porch across the sides and front of the house and a deck off the back of the house with a small pond. The setting is quiet and private yet you are right in town and able to walk to everything including the golf course which is just across the street. We understand that you will find unlimited golf balls along the street curb because this house is on the slice side of the first Tee!
